Who we are

Master Your Business Ltd (“MYB”, “we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Master Your Business Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17104432. Our registered office is 82 James Carter Rd, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds IP28 7DE. Contact us via our contact form.

What we collect

Enquiry details you send us (name, email, organisation, message); account and learning data when you use the MYB Academy (name, email, course progress, quiz and practical scores, certificates); order and billing details; and, for Sales Assessments, candidate details and assessment results provided by or on behalf of an employer.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

To respond to enquiries and provide services you request (contract or steps before a contract); to run courses, assessments and certificates (contract); to keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation); and to improve and secure our services (legitimate interests). Where an employer buys licences or assessments, the employer is usually the controller for its staff or candidate data and we act as its processor under a data processing agreement.

Employers and learners

Before enrolment, learners are told what their employer can see: course progress, quiz and practical scores, competency view, certificates and last activity. Private AI practice chats are not shared with employers by default.

Sales Assessments

Assessment results are decision support reviewed by people. We do not make automated hiring or rejection decisions. Candidates can contact us or the employer to exercise their rights.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, under appropriate contracts and only for the purposes above:

Vercel (website hosting); HubSpot (CRM and website analytics, using its EU data centre; it stores enquiries and orders sent through this website); FormSubmit (website form delivery); Stripe (payments; card numbers are never stored by us); an email delivery provider (sending account, order and course emails); and Vimeo (video hosting for course content).

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

Enquiries and leads: up to 2 years after our last contact with you.

Customer, order and billing records: 6 years, for tax and accounting purposes.

Learner and assessment records: for the life of the account plus 12 months, unless the employer asks us to delete them sooner.

After these periods we securely delete or anonymise the data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, object to processing, or request a copy. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), but please contact us first so we can help.
